The work of the first edition of the General Assembly of Civil Protection continued today at the Confindustria headquarters in Rome.
On the second day, the Head of the Department, Fabio Ciciliano, opened the session by discussing the National Civil Protection School project. This initiative aims to consolidate and standardize the skills of professionals in the sector, thereby enhancing the capacity of the National Service to respond effectively at all levels.
The morning marked the official launch of the six thematic panels established for this occasion. Participants, selected from representatives of various components and operational structures, are tasked with proposing ideas and solutions on several key issues critical to the future of Italian Civil Protection. These issues include regulatory reform, the role of volunteers, emergency management, strengthening local communities, enhancing forecasting capabilities, and integrating new technologies into civil protection activities.
The reports from the six thematic tables will be presented tomorrow through live streaming on the concluding day of the General Assembly.
